Job Description:

A Security Manager for ServiceNow (SNOW) governs, secures, and optimizes the platform's Security Operations (SecOps), Vulnerability Response, and IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC/IRM) modules. This role involves configuring security workflows, managing user access controls, and integrating third-party tools to automate threat response. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • SecOps & Vulnerability Management: Configure and maintain ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) modules, including Vulnerability Response and Security Incident Response.
  • Platform Security & Access Control: Define and implement security policies, manage Access Control Lists (ACLs), user roles, and ensure data privacy within the platform.
  • Automation & Integration: Integrate SecOps with external tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, scanner tools like Tenable/Wiz) to automate workflows and enhance threat detection.
  • Governance & Risk (GRC/IRM): Implement and oversee Integrated Risk Management (IRM) to manage policies, compliance, and audits.
  • Monitoring & Remediation: Monitor security logs, develop risk-based prioritization models, and drive remediation workflows.

 

Required Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SNOW platform architecture, specifically SecOps and GRC modules.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with JavaScript, API integrations, and troubleshooting within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Security Manager, Analyst, or Developer specializing in ServiceNow.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Incident Response
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Vulnerability Response
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • CISSP or related security certifications
