Job Title: Senior QA Tester – Lexcel (FIS) | Payment & Debit Systems

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Tester with strong expertise in Debit Card Payment Processing and Lexcel (FIS) to support a high-profile Visa Fuel Pre-Authorization initiative. This role focuses on testing enhancements to the ISO 8583 (0120) transaction process for Automated Fuel Dispensers (AFDs), ensuring real-time pre-authorization updates, transaction accuracy, and seamless integration with Visa's payment systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payment processing, POS transaction testing, and financial messaging, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and client teams in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Software QA/Test Engineering experience. 
• Hands-on experience with Lexcel (FIS Simulation Tool) (Required). 
• Strong experience testing Debit Card Payment Processing systems. 
• In-depth knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) transaction processing. 
• Experience with Automated Fuel Dispenser (AFD) pre-authorization workflows. 
• Strong understanding of ISO 8583, particularly 0120 transaction messaging. 
• Experience designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. 
• Expertise in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. 
• Experience with defect tracking, issue resolution, and validation. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. 
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Visa or other payment processing platforms. 
• Experience with fuel payment systems and authorization workflows. 
• Knowledge of real-time payment processing and transaction reversals. 
• Experience working within Agile development environments. 
• Familiarity with phased software implementation and release management. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand project requirements and payment workflows. 
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for payment processing enhancements. 
• Validate ISO 8583 (0120) transaction messaging and real-time pre-authorization updates. 
• Utilize Lexcel (FIS) to simulate debit card transactions and verify payment processing functionality. 
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. 
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution. 
• Support phased project releases and ensure alignment with Visa implementation timelines. 
• Maintain testing documentation, execution reports, defect logs, and quality metrics. 
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
