The Difference You'll Make:

 

As the Principal Product Owner for Product Recommendation, you will lead the charge in revolutionizing how our customers discover and engage with our products. Your strategic vision and expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing recommendation systems that enhance personalization, drive customer satisfaction, and increase conversion rates. By leveraging advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques, you will craft experiences that are not only intuitive but also deeply resonant with our diverse customer base.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our recommendation systems are at the forefront of innovation, providing tailored suggestions that align with customer preferences and business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers, to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver impactful solutions. Your leadership will guide the development of algorithms that are scalable, efficient, and capable of adapting to evolving customer needs.

 

A Typical Day at Work:

 

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and customer experience teams to align product features with broader business objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis, focusing on customer experience trends and technological advancements to optimize product market fit.
  • Drive ongoing product enhancements through customer insights, feedback, and an understanding of the customer journey, using AI/ML tools to refine our offerings.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to apply machine learning models that support accurate product recommendations and improve customer journey touchpoints.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling narratives for our products, driving growth and adoption among diverse customer segments.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and advancements in e-commerce practices, ensuring our approach is innovative and customer-centric.
  • Leverage Generative AI, both language and vision models, to enhance product recommendation capabilities, ensuring a seamless and personalized customer experience.

 

 

 

Your Expertise:

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in e-commerce
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and data modeling, with a focus on applying these as tools in an e-commerce setting.
  • Proven track record in leading significant e-commerce initiatives, with a focus on customer experience and design.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and making informed product decisions.
  • Experience in AB testing and using data insights for product iteration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Passionate about e-commerce, with a strong emphasis on customer-centricity and user experience.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, innovative, and goal-oriented environment.
