We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Applications DBA / Technical Consultant to support the archival and retirement of a legacy Oracle EBS environment following the client's migration to SAP.

The consultant will play a key role in planning and executing Oracle EBS data archiving activities while ensuring historical business data remains accessible for audit, compliance, reporting, and business reference purposes.

This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, application schema, and functional data relationships across key ERP modules. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting Oracle EBS archive, purge, or application retirement initiatives and be comfortable working with business users, functional consultants, and database administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Oracle EBS environment during the post-SAP migration application retirement phase.
• Analyze Oracle EBS modules, application schemas, and data relationships to identify historical data suitable for archiving.
• Assist in defining the overall Oracle EBS data archiving and application retirement strategy.
• Work with functional teams to understand business, audit, legal, and regulatory data retention requirements.
• Execute or support Oracle EBS archive and purge activities while maintaining application and data integrity.
• Validate archived data and ensure historical information remains available for audit, reporting, and compliance.
• Analyze Oracle EBS dependencies across modules to ensure complete and consistent archival of business transactions.
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Coordinate with Oracle DBAs on database performance, storage optimization, backup, and recovery activities during archiving.
• Perform data reconciliation between Oracle EBS and archived repositories where required.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle EBS data, archive processes, and historical data retrieval.
• Document archive procedures, validation processes, reconciliation results, and operational runbooks.
• Provide knowledge transfer to the client's support team before project completion.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite technical experience.
• Strong experience supporting Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 environments.
• Hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS Applications DBA or Oracle EBS Technical Consultant.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and application database schema.
• Experience working with Oracle EBS archive, purge, or application retirement projects.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
• Experience analyzing Oracle EBS transactional data and table relationships.
• Working knowledge of Oracle EBS modules such as:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Purchasing (PO)
• Inventory (INV)
• Order Management (OM)
• Fixed Assets (FA)
• Experience validating archived data and maintaining referential integrity.
• Experience working with Oracle Database 12c/19c environments supporting Oracle EBS.
• Ability to work closely with functional consultants, DBAs, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Oracle EBS to SAP migration or ERP modernization projects.
• Experience with Oracle EBS application retirement or legacy system decommissioning initiatives.
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS seeded archive and purge programs.
• Experience with Oracle Data Pump, SQL*Loader, RMAN, and database migration utilities.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS concurrent processing, Workflow, and application data dependencies.
• Experience with third-party ERP archiving or legacy data management solutions is a plus.
• Understanding of audit, compliance, legal hold, and enterprise data retention requirements.

Engagement Objective

The primary objective of this engagement is to successfully archive and preserve historical Oracle EBS data following the client's migration to SAP, enabling eventual retirement of the Oracle EBS application while ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and continued access to historical business information.
