Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support enterprise SAP applications, custom development, integrations, and technical enhancements across multiple SAP environments. The consultant will work closely with functional teams, business analysts, and technical teams to design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities / Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementing SAP ABAP applications.
• Supporting SAP ECC modules including FI/CA, FI, SD, GL, and related environments.
• Reviewing functional specifications and converting them into technical design specifications.
• Developing technical specifications, design diagrams, and landscape blueprints.
• Participating in SAP ABAP code reviews.
• Working with business analysts to gather requirements and estimate development efforts.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and unit test documents.
• Managing incidents, service requests, and production support activities.
• Researching SAP OSS Notes and SAP Knowledge Base Articles for issue resolution.
• Leading technical efforts on large SAP projects.
• Mentoring junior SAP ABAP developers.
• Collaborating with internal technical teams and functional staff to explain program functionality.
• Performing performance tuning, debugging, and runtime analysis for SAP applications.
• Developing and maintaining custom enhancements, interfaces, reports, batch jobs, BADIs, and user exits.
• Supporting SAP Portal development and upgrades.
• Working on cloud-based SAP development initiatives.
