Job Title: ServiceNow Portal Designer

Location: San Antonio TX – Onsite

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Portal Designer to design and develop user-friendly, visually appealing, and highly functional self-service portals using ServiceNow’s Service Portal framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design, front-end development, and ServiceNow customization to enhance the user experience and efficiency of ServiceNow portals (Service Now designer for it portal and mobile)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals to enhance user experience and usability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and UX designers to create intuitive and responsive portal designs.
  • Implement custom widgets, themes, and layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and ServiceNow APIs.
  • Ensure portals align with corporate branding, accessibility, and performance best practices.
  • Optimize the Service Portal for performance, scalability, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Integrate ServiceNow Portal with other modules like ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX-related issues and enhance portal functionality.
  • Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and continuously improve portal design.
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases, web technologies, and design trends.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on Service Portal design.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with ServiceNow’s Service Portal, Widget Designer, and scripting (Glide APIs, Jelly, etc.).
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into elegant and functional portal designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and third-party web technologies is a plus.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) are preferred.
