Job Title: ServiceNow Portal Designer
Location: San Antonio TX – Onsite
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Portal Designer to design and develop user-friendly, visually appealing, and highly functional self-service portals using ServiceNow’s Service Portal framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design, front-end development, and ServiceNow customization to enhance the user experience and efficiency of ServiceNow portals (Service Now designer for it portal and mobile)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals to enhance user experience and usability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and UX designers to create intuitive and responsive portal designs.
- Implement custom widgets, themes, and layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and ServiceNow APIs.
- Ensure portals align with corporate branding, accessibility, and performance best practices.
- Optimize the Service Portal for performance, scalability, and mobile responsiveness.
- Integrate ServiceNow Portal with other modules like ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX-related issues and enhance portal functionality.
- Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and continuously improve portal design.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases, web technologies, and design trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on Service Portal design.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with ServiceNow’s Service Portal, Widget Designer, and scripting (Glide APIs, Jelly, etc.).
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to translate business requirements into elegant and functional portal designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and third-party web technologies is a plus.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) are preferred.
