Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation. This role will lead end-to-end project execution for new equipment installations, upgrades, and tooling projects, ensuring alignment with production requirements, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and equipment projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source and evaluate suppliers for tooling and industrial equipment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Installation & Commissioning
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial equipment and tooling.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements during installation.
- Validate equipment performance and handover to operations.
- Budget & Reporting
- Track project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and management.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven expertise in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, or similar).
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
