Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software DevOps Engineer II to join a dynamic engineering environment supporting advanced technology and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in DevOps implementation, CI/CD automation, embedded systems environments, and secure software development practices.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable software development systems and infrastructure that support the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The role involves close collaboration with Software, Systems, FPGA, Hardware, Test, IT, and Operations teams to drive automation, security, reliability, and deployment efficiency across engineering environments.

This is a fully onsite opportunity based in San Diego, CA, and requires candidates who can work onsite five days a week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
  • Develop and support cohesive software and FPGA development environments for bare-metal, embedded Linux, and RTOS-based products.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to maintain stable, secure, and reliable development and deployment infrastructures.
  • Support automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment methodologies across development workflows.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the security posture of development tools and infrastructure.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential vulnerabilities within DevOps environments.
  • Build reusable DevOps solutions and automation components to improve development efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain security configurations for embedded Linux builds while ensuring performance and compliance standards.
  • Provide technical training and ongoing support to engineering teams regarding DevOps tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to DevOps environments, workflows, tools, and security policies.
  • Support reproducible and security-first product deployment strategies for operational and industrialization teams.
