Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager with strong expertise in the Mortgage Banking domain to lead Agile delivery while managing end-to-end project execution. This hybrid leadership role combines Scrum Master responsibilities with traditional Project Management, ensuring successful delivery of complex technology initiatives in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience leading Agile teams, managing project delivery, stakeholder communication, risk management, and cross-functional coordination. Candidates with experience in Mortgage Banking, Payments, Banking APIs, or Financial Services environments are highly preferred.


Responsibilities

Agile & Scrum Leadership

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile delivery teams.
  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
  • Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Remove impediments and drive delivery commitments.
  • Foster accountability, ownership, and team collaboration.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, and delivery dashboards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, product management, operations, and business.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Identify delivery risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage escalations.
  • Ensure development, testing, integration, and release activities remain synchronized.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Communicate project status, delivery metrics, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans.
  • Drive decision-making across cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings and stakeholder communications.

Operational & Execution Support

  • Coordinate internal and external dependencies.
  • Support ERP, workflow systems, and release management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance and delivery standards.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
