Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Security Engineer


Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Rate: $52/hr on C2C

 

Job Summary

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Strong expertise in OCI IAM, VPC, Compute, Storage, Cloud Logging, and Security Controls.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Experience implementing Policy as Code (PaC) using Sentinel or similar cloud-native policy frameworks.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud security guardrails.
  • Knowledge of CNAPP and secure-by-default cloud security implementations.
  • Experience securing Oracle PaaS environments, including:
  • Data Security
  • Network Security
  • Workload Isolation
  • Policy Enforcement
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Storage, and Streaming Services.
  • Experience with Cloud Logging, Monitoring, Metrics, and XQL.
  • Good understanding of High Availability (HA) and secure cloud architecture.
  • Programming experience in Java, Go, or Python.
  • FinOps knowledge is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
  • Develop and manage Policy as Code (PaC) using Sentinel and cloud-native security policies.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Implement cloud security guardrails and collaborate with CNAPP teams to enforce secure-by-default configurations.
  • Secure OCI services, including IAM, VPC, Compute, Storage, and Cloud Logging.
  • Troubleshoot complex Oracle Cloud issues, identify root causes, and develop automation for faster resolution.
  • Secure Oracle PaaS services through policy enforcement, workload isolation, and network security.
  • Configure and maintain cloud logging, monitoring, metrics, and observability solutions.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and high availability requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate cloud infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
  • Apply cloud cost optimization (FinOps) best practices where applicable.
