Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: McLean, VA (local will be preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business and technology teams by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, finance, tax, or financial services domains and be skilled in process improvement, workflow design, stakeholder management, and business process documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.

Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements and user stories for technology solutions.

Analyze current business processes and design optimized future-state workflows.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and business process documentation, including SOPs and process flow diagrams.

Collaborate with business users, product teams, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process optimization and automation.

Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and cross-functional discussions to drive project success.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.

7+ years of Business Analyst experience delivering enterprise technology or business transformation initiatives.

Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, Mortgage, Accounting, Finance, or Tax domains.

Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, process mapping, and documentation.

Experience with ERP systems, financial applications, and reporting tools.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work effectively in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with financial operations, expense management, or cost allocation processes.

Exposure to tax compliance, regulatory reporting, or financial reporting workflows.

Knowledge of SQL and data analysis for validating business requirements and reporting.

Experience with process automation or continuous improvement initiatives.
