Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator
• Experience with at least one of the following:
• F5
• Palo Alto
• VMware
• Hyper-V
• Goals-oriented, proactive team player with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of making independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

At a minimum, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:

• Develop standards, procedures, and documentation
• Devise and recommend short- and long-range plans for development and enhancement of hardware and production systems
• Develop and enforce production standards and policies in conjunction with the Senior Network Engineer and Database Administrator
• Facilitate collaboration and communication between IT units to build strong partnerships and better serve DOS customers in achieving business objectives
• Maintain audit compliance with state requirements related to:
• Central data systems
• User accounts
• Backup and disaster recovery
• Data center security
• Work closely with the DOS Information Security Manager (ISM) to develop and enforce security standards and policies, including:
• DST Rule 60GG-2, F.A.C. (Florida Cybersecurity)
• NIST and COBIT 5 network and security standards
• Create and follow change management procedures for all network changes
