Role: Sr. Data Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery through effective prioritization, resource and capacity planning, budget oversight, and proactive risk and issue mitigation.
• Define, develop, and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data and technology initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, architecture, and business units.
• Drive strong stakeholder engagement through clear communication, periodic status reporting, and executive-level presentations.
• Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies with hands-on experience in sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and delivery governance.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in data platforms, including ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, data lakes, and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, security, and compliance standards across all projects.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers on data modeling, pipeline design, and scalable data solutions.
• Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms for tracking and documentation.
• Leverage strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address complex technical and business challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Possess working knowledge of SQL and data querying concepts to effectively engage with technical teams and validate deliverables.
• Bring strong domain expertise in BFSI, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and ensure value realization
• Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Work Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles is required
• 10+ year of experience in technical project management is required
• Financial services industry experience preferred
