Data Architecture & Engineering
- Fabric & Snowflake Ecosystem: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse) and Snowflake to support both real-time analytics and batch reporting.
- Advanced Data Modeling: Develop and maintain performant Star Schema models that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all business domains.
- Performance Optimization: Diagnose performance bottlenecks; fine-tune SQL queries in Snowflake and DAX expressions in Power BI to achieve sub-second report performance.
Power BI Development
- Dashboard Design: Create executive-grade Power BI dashboards with a strong emphasis on UX/UI principles, ensuring clarity, intuition, and visual impact.
- Analytical Logic: Develop complex DAX measures and leverage Power Query (M) for advanced data transformation and business logic implementation.
- Security & Governance: Manage Power BI workspaces and enforce Row-Level Security (RLS) to maintain secure and compliant data access.
Must Have Consultative Expertise
- Requirements Definition: Partner with business and executive leadership to define KPIs, understand business challenges, and translate objectives into detailed technical solutions.
- Data Business Purpose: Present findings and dashboards to executives, emphasizing the business value of the data and offering actionable recommendations.
- Agile Delivery: Collaborate within Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, track progress, and promote transparency across the BI development process.
Required Technical Skills
- Power BI: Expert-level proficiency across DAX, Power Query, and the Power BI Service.
- Snowflake: Skilled in SnowSQL, data partitioning, and warehouse performance tuning.
- Microsoft Fabric: Experienced with OneLake, Data Factory, and the broader Fabric environment.
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations, analysis, and data validation.
