Title : SAP RAR Consultant

What you will do in this role:
- Own SAP RAR functional design and configuration for OTC-triggered revenue recognition scenarios including new sales, renewals, amendments, and cancellations
- Map SAP SD sales order events (order creation, delivery, billing) to RAR performance obligation fulfilment and revenue posting triggers
- Configure and maintain RAR components: Performance Obligations (POBs), Transaction Price Allocation (TPA), Revenue Schedules, and Contract Modification handling
- Support integration between SAP S/4HANA SD/OTC and the RAR engine; liaise with technical teams on BRFplus rules, source document mapping, and delta processing
- Lead unit testing, integration testing (SD-to-RAR flows), UAT, and production validation for RAR-related scenarios
- Translate complex revenue recognition requirements into functional RAR configurations in business-friendly language for non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working with integrated revenue ecosystems including CPQ, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), or Subscription platforms is a plus.
Skills:
What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable):
SAP RAR — Core Expertise
- 10+ years of SAP Functional / Business Analyst experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on SAP RAR configuration
- Proven ability to configure SAP RAR for OTC-driven revenue events: POB identification, SSP/TPA allocation, contract modifications, and deferred revenue handling
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 principles as applied through SAP RAR — from an OTC process perspective, not a Finance accounting perspective
- Experience with SAP RAR source document integration from SAP SD billing documents (VF01/VF04 flows into RAR)
- Hands-on experience with BRFplus for RAR rule configuration
SAP SD / Order-to-Cash Background
- Expert-level knowledge of SAP SD: Sales Order Management, Pricing, Delivery, and Billing (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA)
- Experience with billing plans, milestone billing, contract management, and subscription-related order types
- Ability to trace revenue impact starting from sales order configuration (order types, item categories, schedule line categories)
- Familiarity with revenue-relevant SD configurations: account assignment groups, material revenue account determination, and customer-material info records
