Job Title: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Okemos, MI (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite, subject to change)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to design, implement, and lead performance testing initiatives to ensure system reliability, scalability, and optimal performance under varying workloads.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with JMeter, Dynatrace, Kubernetes, and CI/CD integration, along with the ability to analyze performance metrics and resolve complex system bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead comprehensive performance testing strategies to validate system behavior under load, stress, and peak conditions.
• Create, configure, and execute complex JMeter test scripts to simulate real-world workload patterns.
• Optimize and troubleshoot test scripts to ensure reliable performance results.
• Utilize Dynatrace for continuous performance monitoring and real-time diagnostics.
• Integrate performance testing within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to detect issues early in the development lifecycle.
• Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure analysis to support projected workloads.
• Work with Kubernetes environments to manage autoscaling and performance tuning.
• Maintain version control of performance scripts using Bitbucket.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Generate detailed performance dashboards and reports for engineering teams and leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis using monitoring and diagnostics tools.
• Document performance testing strategies, configurations, and optimization recommendations.
• Participate in Agile PI planning sessions to define performance requirements and align testing strategies.
