Job Title: Layer 7 (Broadcom) API Gateway Administrator

Job Description:

Layer 7 (Broadcom) API Gateway Administrator designs, installs, and manages API security policies, traffic routing, and developer portal onboarding. They are responsible for implementing authentication (OAuth, SAML, JWT), optimizing performance, and automating deployments using CI/CD tools to support Microservices/SOA environments.

Experience in defining overall API architecture, API implementations, integration, and deployment of API management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Management: Develop, test, and deploy API Gateway policies using the Policy Manager to control API access and security.
• Security Implementation: Configure OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and JWT tokens to secure RESTful/SOAP services.
• Gateway Administration: Install, upgrade, and maintain CA Layer 7 Gateway appliances (hardware/virtual).
• Performance & Monitoring: Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage API traffic.
• DevOps/Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) for automated API deployment across environments.
• Developer Portal: Manage the API Developer Portal for API product management and API key lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Broadcom/CA Layer 7 API Gateway Policy Manager.
• Security Protocols: Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
• Networking: Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and firewall concepts.
• Scripting/Tools: Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Python, and testing tools like Postman or Selenium.
• Infrastructure: Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
