Role: Systems Engineer

Location: Dayton, OH.

We’re looking for a well-rounded Systems Engineer with strong experience in Windows server administration, VMware environments, and Active Directory, along with exposure to operational technology (OT) systems. This role will support both IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and integrated effectively.

Please note:

This role is 100% onsite in Dayton, OH 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for stability and security

Administer VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), including virtual machine management and upgrades

Implement and maintain virtualization best practices for high availability and disaster recovery

Support and maintain OT systems such as ICS and SCADA, working closely with cross-functional teams

Manage Active Directory users, groups, Group Policy, and domain controllers

Ensure security standards and compliance across both IT and OT environments

Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes

Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps

Provide guidance and support to team members on infrastructure and IT/OT integration

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong experience with Windows Server administration, VMware, and Active Directory

Exposure to OT environments (ICS, SCADA) is highly preferred

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices

Relevant certifications such as MCSA or VMware VCP are a plus

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work both independently and within a team

Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams
