Role: GCP Data Engineer

Location: Philadelphia,PA Onsite

Contract

12+ yrs 

3 years of handson experience with GCP services BigQuery PubSub DataflowApache Beam AirflowCloud Composer Cloud Functions and Cloud Storage

Strong understanding of data lakes data warehouses and analytics platforms at scale

Programming Development

Proficiency in Java Python and SQL for data processing and transformation

Experience with DevOps pipelines CICD including automated testing and deployment

Infrastructure Architecture

Design and deploy scalable faulttolerant systems on GCP

Manage cloud infrastructure using Compute Engine App Engine Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Functions

Automate infrastructure with Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager

Monitoring Security

Use GCP Operations Suite Stackdriver for performance monitoring

Implement IAM roles service accounts and access policies to ensure data security

Preferred Qualifications

GCP certification eg Professional Data Engineer

Experience with agile methodologies and containerization Docker Kubernetes

Familiarity with CICD tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions and Cloud Build

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field
