Job Title: Java Developer with Boq framework

Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Description

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Client's primary backend programming languages: Java (with a strong understanding of Apps Framework)
• Experience with modern web application development, including TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of Client's internal Remote Procedure Call (RPC) mechanisms, primarily Stubby.
• Experience building and deploying services using Client's Server Platform, specifically Boq for streamlined production-ready services, or potentially Pod.
• Demonstrated experience with Client's recommended web frameworks: Boq Angular or Boq Wiz for building performant and feature-rich user interfaces.
• Familiarity with data integration patterns and platforms used at Client
• Experience with database technologies, including Spanner.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing APIs
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment processes within Client's landscape.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain new features and enhancements for high-visibility Client’s internal applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of production systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical applications.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, promoting best practices in code health, security, and scalability.
• Engage in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Migrate applications from one platform / framework to another.
