Job Description:

 

The Philadelphia office of Cozen O’Connor is currently seeking an experienced, results-oriented IT professional with a track record of success managing and delivering technology related projects. The IT Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading all phases of the project life cycle. They will work with senior firm leadership and project sponsors to develop scope, approach, budget and goals. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, learn new technologies, and effectively prioritize tasks and communicate with management and stakeholders. The Sr. Project Manager is accountable for the success of a project.


Responsibilities

  • Planning: Autonomously develop detailed project plans with tasks, resources and dependencies. Ensure the plan is feasible from a resource, technical and budget perspective.
  • Analysis: Ability to perform analysis, interpret and make recommendations and/or decisions.
  • Execution: Drive the completion of tasks by managing project team resources. Includes resolving issues to keep the project moving toward its completion goal.
  • Monitoring and Controlling: Track current progress and control budget. Handle project scope and budget changes according to organization process.
  • Communication: Track and communicate progress, issues/risks, etc. to management and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Be aligned, update and interact with key business sponsors, executives and vendors.
  • Resource Management: Manage team resources and allocation assigned to each project.
  • Risk Management: Log, track, communicate and proactively manage/mitigate issues/risks.
  • Closing: Ensure project closing criteria is stated and the criteria met to close each project.
  • Independently lead and manage large and high impact complex projects concurrently.
  • Ask probing questions, detect unstated assumptions, minimize risk and resolve conflicts.
  • Forecast deficiencies and unrealistic expectations while identifying solutions.
  • Evaluate solutions against requirements, manage vendors, negotiate contracts, manage costs, reduce vendor-related risk and ensure service delivery
  • Support technology/software selection process including vendor evaluation and implementation planning
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
