About the Opportunitt
The Office of Technology and Innovation is partnering with the City Hall Child Care Office to deliver technology that powers the Child Care for All program. We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of digital applications and services that directly benefit New Yorkers.
This is a high-impact role where you'll guide multi-disciplinary teams through the full product lifecycle from strategy and research to launch and continuous delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Synthesize research, analytics, and best practices to solve real problems for New Yorkers
• Build and maintain product roadmaps that define direction and timing
• Manage the software product lifecycle from conception to launch, bridging program strategy, UX, and technology
• Translate user needs into prioritized requirements; decide what to build to maximize value and program impact
• Define and monitor outcomes and KPIs to drive evidence-based improvements
• Collaborate with program owners and stakeholders across agencies to align on goals
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and system requirements with UX and engineering teams
Required Qualification
• 10+ years of proven product management experience launching digital features/products using SDLC best practices
• Hands-on experience across the full product cycle: planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Proven ability to manage multiple products from strategy down to executional detail
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills (prioritization, enhancements, new features)
• Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Comfort working across ecosystems, platforms, and emerging technologies
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative team player
• Track record of bringing diverse groups together toward a common goal
Work Arrangement & Schedule
• Hybrid: 3 days on-site at 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201 / 2 days remote
• Hours: Monday Friday, 35 hours/week (normal business hours)
• A mandatory unpaid meal break applies after 6 hours of work
