Job Title : Technical Program Manager - Lab Systems & OT Security

Location : Boston , MA Onsite

Role Description

We are seeking an expert Technical Program Manager to drive critical Operational Technology (OT) Security initiatives. You will lead cross-functional Agile teams, manage vendor dependencies, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-wide security remediations within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Planning: Own the master schedule for 4 OT Security workstreams (Network Access Authentication, software restrictions, vulnerability remediation, and Universal Serial Bus (USB) data controls). Maintain Gantt charts, milestone targets, and live RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
  • Agile Coordination: Facilitate Scrum/Kanban ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) for a pod of 5 OT Security Engineers. Manage backlogs, prioritize milestones, and coordinate global multi-site workload distribution.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Deliver structured Red, Amber, Green (RAG) status reports to executive leadership, including the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO). Maintain Confluence wikis for transparent tracking.
  • Vendor Management: Track dependencies across internal teams (Information Security (InfoSec), Active Directory) and external security vendors (CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust, Waters).
  • Change Management: Orchestrate hypercare (stabilization) periods following major rollouts, track support findings, and log lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of applied program management in tech, Information Technology (IT) Security, or regulated Life Sciences (Pharma/Biotech). (Note: 10+ years overall experience required per contract terms).
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Projects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE2), or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.

Technical Skills & Methodologies

  • Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall delivery approaches.
  • Tools: Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, ServiceNow (IT Service Management), and MS Office.
  • Security Ecosystem: Familiarity with CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust, and Active Directory is highly advantageous.
  • Professional Traits: Proactive risk mitigation, clear executive communication, resilient adaptability, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
