Position Summary:

The Automation Team Developer will design, build, and support custom applications used to automate QA testing processes. This role focuses on developing internal tools, supporting automated test execution, and partnering closely with QA and development teams to improve testing efficiency and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support a custom QA automation web application
  • Enhance existing tools to improve performance, usability, and stability
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test scenarios and generate simulated data
  • Support execution, troubleshooting, and debugging of automated test scripts
  • Partner with SMEs and development teams to refine the QA automation environment
  • Track and help drive resolution of defects identified during testing
  • Assist with training and documentation for QA automation tools
  • Stay current on industry best practices and communicate improvements to the team

 

Required Experience:

  • 18+ months of experience developing REST APIs
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with modern frameworks (Angular preferred)
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with source code repositories (e.g., Git)

 

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Experience with C# or Java
  • Exposure to SQL Server and Windows Server administration
  • Knowledge of SDLC best practices
  • Basic Unix skills (shell scripting, vi editing)
  • Experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to GCP
