Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on OneTrust Privacy Integration Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise privacy and compliance initiative within a Fortune 500 environment. This role is ideal for an experienced privacy technology professional who combines deep OneTrust platform expertise with strong API integration and software development capabilities.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and enhancing enterprise privacy workflows while developing scalable integrations across multiple systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders to support privacy operations, consent management, DSAR processes, cookie compliance, and data governance initiatives.
This is a highly technical role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced enterprise environments, enjoys solving complex integration challenges, and is passionate about privacy, security, and compliance technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
OneTrust Platform Configuration & Administration
- Configure, enhance, and maintain OneTrust workflows and modules including:
- Universal Consent & Preference Management (UCPM)
- Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)
- Cookie Management
- Data Discovery & Scanning
- Optimize workflow functionality, platform performance, and operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform configuration and integration issues
- Support ongoing platform enhancements and enterprise privacy initiatives
Required Skills/Education:
- 6+ years of software development, systems integration, or integration engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with OneTrust platform configuration and integration support
- Experience across multiple OneTrust modules and enterprise privacy platforms
- Experience with one or more OneTrust modules:
- UCPM
- DSAR
- Cookie Management
- Data Discovery / Scanning
- Strong RESTful API development and integration experience
- Proficiency with:
- C#
- Python
- Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Strong understanding of:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- UAT processes
- API lifecycle management
- Knowledge of privacy and security best practices
- Experience handling sensitive or regulated data securely
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
Integration Engineering & API Development
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise integrations between OneTrust and internal systems using RESTful APIs
- Develop automation, integration services, and backend logic using C# and Python
- Support and enhance existing OneTrust integrations for scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and third-party vendors on secure integration solutions
- Ensure enterprise API standards and integration best practices are followed
Privacy, Security & Compliance
- Implement privacy and security controls across integrations and workflows
- Support secure handling of sensitive and regulated data
- Assist with authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection initiatives
- Partner with compliance, legal, privacy, and cybersecurity teams to support:
- GDPR
- CCPA
- Enterprise privacy governance policies
SDLC, Testing & Documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning activities using Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Develop and execute:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- UAT support activities
- Create and maintain:
- API documentation
- Technical specifications
- Integration documentation
- Operational support materials
- Support deployment validation, release planning, and production support
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in requirements gathering and technical discovery sessions
- Collaborate across multiple enterprise teams and vendors within complex environments
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to solution design discussions
