Role: QA Lead – Performance Testing

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead to join our QA organization in Las Vegas and help establish and mature a structured performance testing practice across enterprise programs.
This role requires deep expertise in performance engineering, workload modeling, enterprise-grade testing tools, and cross-functional collaboration with Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, and QA teams.
Role Overview
The Performance QA Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading end-to-end performance testing initiatives. This individual will define best practices, standardize processes, troubleshoot performance issues, and drive improvements in scalability, reliability, and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Testing & Analysis
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with development teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify key performance metrics and oversee the system performance lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance to improve system capacity, reliability, and scalability.
- Generate detailed performance reports for management review.
Practice Development & Leadership
- Establish and standardize a performance testing practice across projects.
- Develop workload models based on real production metrics.
- Define performance testing scope, strategy, and effort estimates.
- Draft and maintain performance test artifacts including test plans, scripts, and summaries.
- Assess and improve the quality and maintainability of performance test scripts.
- Improve repeatability, reliability, and efficiency of performance testing processes.
Collaboration & SDLC Participation
- Work closely with Architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Agile teams.
- Support full SDLC and project management processes.
- Troubleshoot system-level performance issues in partnership with engineering teams.
- Enhance performance testing strategies aligned with business goals.
Technical Requirements
- 6–8 years of hands-on performance testing experience in mid to large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in enterprise-grade performance testing tools such as:
- NeoLoad
- JMeter
- LoadRunner (Professional & Cloud)
- BlazeMeter
- Monitoring and performance analysis experience with Dynatrace.
- Experience building workload models and performance benchmarks.
- Strong understanding of complex technology ecosystems (application, QA, infrastructure).
- Ability to write, review, and optimize performance test scripts.
