Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data solutions at our Plano, TX location. This fully onsite position involves close collaboration with data engineering, analytics, governance, and various business teams to build robust, scalable, and compliant data ecosystems.

The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in cloud data platforms, advanced data modeling, big data technologies, and real-time data processing. You will define data architecture strategy, spearhead modernization initiatives, and ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end data solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Develop scalable data models, integration frameworks, and data pipelines supporting analytics, operations, and compliance.
• Lead the buildout of data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms for both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Assess, recommend, and implement modern data technologies to enhance ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics capabilities.
• Partner with Data Stewards to enforce data governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Define and promote data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices organization-wide.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to data engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Create proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new technologies and data-driven use cases.
• Produce clear documentation for architecture designs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in big data, cloud ecosystems, and analytics to continuously improve enterprise data capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise data architecture and large-scale data initiatives.
• Proficiency with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and real-time data pipelines.
• Experience with ingestion frameworks, time-series databases, and streaming analytics.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering and automation.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with NoSQL and graph database technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices for data solution deployment.
• Solid understanding of data security, compliance frameworks, and industry standards.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer) are a strong plus.
