Title: ServiceNow UI Lead

Location: Santa Clara, CA


 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled ServiceNow UI Lead to design and lead the development of UI/UX components within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Service Portal, UI Builder, Now Experience, UI Frameworks, and the ability to guide teams in delivering modern, responsive, and scalable user interfaces.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead UI/UX design and development across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Architect and implement Service Portal, UI Builder, Now Experience, and custom UI components.
  • Develop and enhance widgets, pages, themes, and reusable UI components.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business teams to understand requirements and user journeys.
  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI components with server-side scripts and workflows.
  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility standards, and consistent user experience across modules.
  • Optimize UI performance and troubleshoot complex UI issues.
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce coding/UI best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and release planning.
  • Maintain documentation for UI components, architecture, and processes.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6–10+ years of ServiceNow development experience with strong UI focus.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in:
  • ServiceNow UI Builder
  • Now Experience Framework
  • Service Portal Development
  • Custom Widgets & Components
  • Strong front-end skills: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, React (Nice), Bootstrap.
  • Experience integrating UI with server-side APIs, GlideAjax, and Script Includes.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM/ITOM/HRSD workflows (preferred).
  • Experience with UX best practices, responsive UI, and accessibility (WCAG).
  • Ability to lead UI design sessions and provide technical direction.
