Job Summary

Seeking an experienced AWS Lead Data Engineer with 12+ years of Data Engineering experience and strong leadership skills to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on expertise in AWS data services, Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Spark, and CI/CD while leading technical teams and driving cloud data architecture.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of Data Engineering experience with 3+ years in a Lead/Technical Lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Spark, Kinesis, Athena, RDS, API Gateway
• Expertise in Python, SQL, Shell Scripting (Scala is a plus)
• Experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, Data Pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark, Big Data, Data Migration
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, Git/Jenkins
• Experience with Data Governance, Security, Performance Optimization
• Knowledge of Real-time Streaming, Lakehouse Architecture preferred
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills
• AWS Certification is a plus
