Job Title: MicroStrategy Developer/Admin

Job Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Key responsibilities:

1 Design and development Create interactive and dynamic reports dashboards and scorecards using MicroStrategy Web Desktop and Mobile

2 Requirements gathering Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into functional specifications

3 Data modeling and analysis Design and develop semantic models create and modify attributes hierarchies and facts and write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from various sources

4 Maintenance and support Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing BI solutions provide technical support to endusers and perform maintenance on MicroStrategy environments

5 Testing and deployment Develop test cases perform unit and performance testing and support the deployment and post production phases of projects

6 Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and user manuals

7 Process improvement Stay updated on the latest MicroStrategy features and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities

Required skills and qualifications:

1 Proficiency in MicroStrategy development tools and components eg Desktop designer Web Reporter Mobile

2 Strong SQL and data modeling skills

3 Experience with the full software development lifecycle SDLC

4 Experience with creating complex reports and dashboards

5 Strong analytical and problem solving skills

6 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is often required
