Core Technical Requirements

Firewall & Security

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PA-Series and/or VM-Series)
• Proficiency in Panorama for centralized management and policy orchestration
• Deep knowledge of Palo Alto features: App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, GlobalProtect VPN, SSL Decryption, and Security Profiles
• Experience with Zero Trust segmentation and micro segmentation design

Switching & Routing

• 5+ years with Cisco enterprise switching (Catalyst and/or Nexus platforms)
• Strong command of Layer 2/3 protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP/RSTP, VLANs, VRF, HSRP/VRRP
• Experience designing and maintaining campus and data center switching architectures
• Proficient with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS

Wireless

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki — AP deployment, dashboard management, SSID policy, RF optimization, and client troubleshooting
• Understanding of 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) standards and enterprise wireless design

WAN & Connectivity

• Familiarity with Azure/cloud network connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway) — relevant to ND's SAP RISE/cloud environment
• BGP peering with ISPs and carrier management

Experience & Certifications

Certifications (Strongly Preferred)

• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) — strongly preferred
• CCNP Enterprise or CCIE — strongly preferred
• Meraki Certified (ECMS1/ECMS2) — a plus
