Position : Network L3 Engineer - Cisco Meraki

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network L3 Engineer with expertise in Cisco Meraki solutions to join our growing network team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced support, troubleshooting, and implementation of networking solutions while ensuring seamless network performance and availability. The candidate should have in-depth experience in managing Meraki products, including wireless, switching, security, and cloud networking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced L3 support for all network-related issues, including configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution across Meraki networking solutions.
• Cisco Meraki Implementation: Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Meraki wireless, switching, and security appliances. Manage the Meraki Dashboard for cloud-based network management.
• Network Design & Optimization: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize network solutions leveraging Meraki’s cloud platform and other networking tools.
• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor network performance, identifying and resolving issues in real-time. Perform regular system updates and patches.
• Network Security: Implement and maintain network security best practices using Cisco Meraki security appliances (MX Series), including firewall configurations, VPN setup, content filtering, and threat management.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, topologies, and incident reports. Generate detailed reports for performance metrics and network health.
• Vendor & Client Interaction: Interact with vendors, service providers, and clients for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. Assist with network-related escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 teams.
• Project Management: Manage and assist with network-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of solutions.
• Capacity Planning & Upgrades: Assist in capacity planning and future-proofing the network by recommending Meraki solutions for scalability and optimal performance.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco Meraki products.
• Cisco Meraki Expertise: Strong knowledge of Meraki networking solutions (MS Series switches, MR Series wireless access points, MX security appliances, and Meraki Dashboard).
• Networking Protocols & Technologies: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN (Site-to-Site and Client VPN), and QoS.
• Network Security: Experience in configuring and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, and VPNs.
• Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills in routing, switching, wireless issues, and network performance optimization.
• Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent, Meraki Certified is highly preferred.
• Tools: Proficiency in using network diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.) and network management platforms such as Meraki Dashboard, SolarWinds, or similar.
• Scripting/Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for network configuration and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud-managed networks using Meraki's cloud-based platform for monitoring, management, and reporting.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Meraki Certified or experience in Meraki-specific certifications.
• Experience with wireless site surveys and RF design for Meraki wireless deployment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (like PRTG, Nagios), and cloud-based monitoring solutions.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
