Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle PaaS Lead Developer to design, develop, integrate, and support Oracle Cloud extensions for a global Automotive Tier 1 supplier implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud.
The role will focus on OEM/customer label generation, internal Kanban labels, three-point-check validation processes, and integration with Oracle pick-pack-ship activities. The consultant must combine strong Oracle Cloud PaaS and integration development skills with an understanding of automotive manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, barcode, labeling, quality, and traceability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead technical discovery workshops to document customer/OEM labeling, internal Kanban, quality validation, scan, shipping, and plant-floor integration requirements.
• Design and develop Oracle Cloud extensions for automotive-specific functionality not addressed through standard Oracle Fusion configuration.
• Build OEM/customer label-generation solutions for cartons, pallets, containers, serialized units, mixed loads, returnable containers, shipments, and customer-specific packaging scenarios.
• Develop internal Kanban-label capabilities to support line-side replenishment, pull signals, supermarket replenishment, material movement, and production consumption processes.
• Design and implement three-point-check processes that validate defined operational controls, such as item, quantity, lot, serial number, container, destination, shipment, or label accuracy.
• Integrate label and check processes with Oracle Inventory, Manufacturing, WMS, Order Management, Shipping, Quality, and external printing applications.
• Develop Oracle Integration Cloud integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, file-based integration, business events, FBDI, and secure connectivity patterns.
• Develop solutions using Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle APEX, OCI services, Java, Groovy, SQL/PLSQL, BI Publisher, and related Oracle Cloud development technologies, as appropriate.
• Create dynamic label payloads containing item, customer, shipment, order, serial, lot, container, barcode, routing, CUM, and packaging information.
• Integrate with label-printing solutions such as Loftware/NiceLabel, BarTender, Zebra, Teklynx, or equivalent platforms.
• Define and implement technical controls for security, audit logging, error handling, retries, monitoring, notification, and operational support.
• Create technical design documents, integration specifications, deployment plans, test scripts, support runbooks, and developer handover materials.
• Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, cutover, hypercare, and post-production issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of Oracle technical development, integration, or enterprise application-development experience.
• 3+ years of Oracle Cloud PaaS, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Fusion technical, or OCI development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs, SOAP services, FBDI, BI Publisher, Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle APEX, or comparable Oracle Cloud tools.
• Experience integrating Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud modules, including Inventory, Manufacturing, WMS, Order Management, Shipping, Procurement, or Quality.
• Experience integrating with label-printing software, industrial printers, barcode technologies, or warehouse/plant scanning devices.
• Strong understanding of barcode generation, serialization, lot control, containerization, traceability, packing, shipping, and label-data requirements.
• Experience developing secure, scalable, monitored, and supportable production integrations.
• Automotive Tier 1 supplier or OEM experience.
• Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AIAG labels, GM, Ford, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, or other OEM label requirements.
• Knowledge of JIT, JIS, Kanban, line-side supply, material supermarkets, returnable packaging, and mixed-model manufacturing.
• Experience with scan-based validation, packing verification, shipment verification, quality-gate processes, or three-point verification methods.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Visual Builder, or Oracle Fusion technical certifications.
