Role: ServiceNow Developer – ITAM / CMDB / Asset Management

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB solutions, focusing on asset lifecycle management, discovery, and configuration management.

• Develop and enhance custom applications and integrations using ServiceNow APIs, JavaScript, and Glide scripting.

• Implement active and passive Discovery integrations to maintain CMDB accuracy and asset relationships.

• Create data transformation, normalization, and reconciliation workflows to ensure data reliability.

• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

• Develop automation workflows, business rules, and Script Includes for efficient process execution.

• Ensure compliance with governance, best practices, and ITIL processes within ITAM and CMDB.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, document solutions, and deliver enhancements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ITOM, Security, Infra, etc.) to optimize asset discovery and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.

• Strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules.

• Proficient in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.

• Deep understanding of Discovery integrations (Active/Passive) and data reconciliation processes.

• Experience developing ServiceNow integrations with external systems using REST APIs.

• Knowledge of ETL, data normalization, and enrichment within ServiceNow.

• Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills / Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Must Have

• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITAM – Nice to Have

• Experience with 3rd-party integrations, Discovery tools, or ITOM modules.

• Exposure to enterprise-scale asset management systems and data governance frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with Discovery integration (Active/passive discovery).

Certifications: Certified Application Developer (must)
