Experience Level: Senior (5+ Years RPA / 3+ Years Healthcare)
Healthcare Provider | Epic Systems | Intelligent Automation
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior UiPath RPA Developer with a strong technical foundation and meaningful experience in healthcare provider environments and Epic EHR systems. In this senior individual contributor role — with mentorship responsibilities — you will design, build, test, and maintain complex, production-grade automation solutions that streamline clinical operations, revenue cycle processes, and administrative workflows across the organization.
Your rare combination of deep UiPath development expertise and firsthand understanding of how provider organizations operate inside Epic will allow you to build automations that are not only technically sound but clinically accurate — bots that truly reflect how nurses, coders, billing specialists, and care coordinators work every day. You will serve as a technical authority within the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE), setting standards, reviewing peer work, and guiding junior developers.
All solutions must be built to comply with HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules, HITECH, 21 CFR Part 11 (where applicable), Joint Commission standards, and the organization's data governance, security, and IT architecture policies.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency across the following
UiPath platform components and development technologies:
UiPath Studio / StudioX | UiPath Orchestrator | REFramework (Robotic Enterprise Framework) | UiPath Test Suite | Document Understanding (DU) | AI Center / ML Models | Process Mining / Task Mining | Attended & Unattended Bots | UiPath Action Center | UiPath Automation Hub | UiPath Integration Service | API Automation (REST / SOAP) | VB.NET / C# Scripting | Python (Scripting / AI Integration) | SQL / Stored Procedures | Git / Source Control (CI/CD) | Azure DevOps / Jira | HL7 / FHIR R4 APIs | Epic FHIR / Chronicles APIs | Citrix / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) | SAP / Web / Windows UI Automation EPIC MODULES
The ideal candidate has hands-on automation experience touching one or more of the following Epic application areas — either by building bots that interact with Epic or by deeply understanding their workflows:
Epic MyChart (Patient Portal) | Epic OpTime (Surgical / OR) | Epic Beaker (Laboratory) | Epic Radiant (Radiology) | Epic Cadence (Scheduling) | Epic Prelude (Registration / ADT) | Epic ClinDoc / Nursing | Epic HIM / Chart Completion | Epic Resolute Professional Billing | Epic Resolute Hospital Billing | Epic Tapestry (Managed Care) | Epic Willow (Pharmacy) | Epic Grand Central (ADT) | Epic Care Everywhere (HIE) | Epic Clarity / Caboodle (Reporting) | Epic FHIR R4 API / Interconnect | Chronicles / Cache DB | Epic Cogito / Reporting Workbench

- Contribute to CoE maturation: solution design templates, development standards documentation, onboarding guides for new developers, and reusable component catalogues.
- Evaluate new UiPath capabilities (AI/ML, Process Mining, Task Mining, Autopilot) and provide technical recommendations on applicability to the healthcare automation portfolio.
- Stay current with Epic release notes and new API capabilities; proactively assess and communicate technical implications for existing and planned automations.

- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules, HITECH, and PHI data-handling requirements in automated workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to debug complex, multi-system automation failures in production environments.
- UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD) — strongly preferred.
- UiPath Certified Automation Developer Professional or UiPath Certified Solution Architect.
- Experience with Epic FHIR R4 / Interconnect API development — reading/writing patient, clinical, scheduling, or billing data programmatically.
