Role: Lead Shopify POS Developer

Type: Remote | C2C/W2

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and lead delivery of Shopify POS UI Extensions using React/TypeScript.
• Migrate older POS extensions to the latest versions (APIs, components, rollout strategy).
• Integrate with Shopify Admin GraphQL/REST APIs, Webhooks, App Bridge, Node.js/Remix.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for POS extensions using Shopify Partner tools.
• Configure Smart Grid per store/location/role.
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug, and support retail store operations.
• Support new store openings, international rollouts, and POS peripherals.
• Collaborate with product, integrations, RFID, QA, and infra teams.
• Mentor developers and enforce coding best practices.

Required Skills

• 10–12 years IT experience with 5+ years in POS/eCommerce for large retailers.
• 3–5 years in Shopify POS development (POS UI Extensions, Admin APIs, App Bridge).
• Strong React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Liquid, Polaris components, GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Integrations with payment, tax, loyalty, fraud, ERP, OMS, inventory systems.
• Git, CI/CD, debugging, and enterprise delivery experience.

Nice to Have

• POS + RFID integrations.
• Experience with latest POS UI Extension Targets & Admin Direct APIs.
• Event-driven architectures, iPaaS.
• Observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, New Relic).
• AWS EventBridge, Lambda.
