Configuration Analyst specifically in advanced compensation.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workday Configuration Analyst with a strong focus on the Advanced Compensation module. This role will be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of Workday compensation solutions that align with business strategies and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation processes, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative approach to delivering scalable HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Workday Advanced Compensation, including compensation plans, eligibility rules, grades, bonus structures, stock plans, and merit/bonus cycles.
  • Partner with HR, Compensation, Finance, and Payroll teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations.
  • Support annual compensation cycles such as merit increases, promotions, bonuses, and equity awards.
  • Manage system updates, enhancements, and new feature implementations related to Advanced Compensation.
  • Perform impact analysis, testing (unit, integration, regression), and validation for Workday releases and compensation changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues, calculation discrepancies, and data inconsistencies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation including configuration workbooks, business process flows, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and guidance on compensation processes and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Workday integrations, reporting, and data management related to compensation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, with a strong focus on Advanced Compensation.
  • In-depth understanding of Workday compensation frameworks, business processes, and security configuration.
  • Experience managing compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Workday Pro certification in Advanced Compensation is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices, pay equity, and market benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with integrations (EIB, Core Connectors) related to compensation processes is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or project-based environments is an added advantage.
