Role: Azure Cloud Engineer – Infra Based
Location: Glen Allen, VA – hybrid 3 days a week
The hiring managers team builds cloud infrastructure (Azure, Databricks, Dev Ops practice - terraform). They are the platform team supporting this and deploying the code.
Things that are helpful: Databricks / Azure / Dev Ops (most important)
Other pluses: python, terraform, PowerShell, power bi exposure, YAML, exposure to ServiceNow or any other ITIL tool can fit well in their org
Insurance experience is a plus, but he is fully industry agnostic for someone good
NEEDS GOOD COMMUNICATIONS (can write a procedure down, can train others, can convey information to others, they support a lot of people so need to be able to do knowledge sharing / convey the procedures written and verbally (easy to understand on the phone).
The role is really a Dev Ops pipeline administrator. Less coding, but he likes people to know scripting languages.
