Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Software Architect to design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud-native solutions for our client’s IT Application Development team.
What You’ll Do
- Develop responsive and intuitive front-end applications using ReactJS with TypeScript
- Build robust back-end services with Python and SQL Alchemy
- Implement workflow orchestration using Temporal
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries
- Coordinate with the DevOps group for CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and solutions
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS technologies, including ECS, RDS, ALB, Route 53, and containerization strategies
- Design applications adhering to functional and technical programming standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into design specifications
- Develop system specifications and interfaces
- Review and understand the Application Team's work plan
- Provide work status updates to the senior management team
- Detail functional and process knowledge
- Determine time estimates and schedules for work
- Coordinate and collaborate with software developers to ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Identify and track issues, risks, and action items
- Contribute to creating feature specifications and technical design blueprints
- Build feature-focused testing, including AI-assisted unit and integration test generation
- Contribute to user acceptance testing procedures and monitor results
- Assist in performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation
- Create documentation and playbooks for AWS-hosted applications supported by the client.
- Mentor staff to gain familiarity and comfort supporting AWS cloud-native applications
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions for staff members
- Establish and lead AI-assisted development practices, mentoring staff on effective, responsible adoption of Claude Code / AWS Kiro across the SDLC
