JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Pipeline Development and Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable ETL pipelines using Matillion ETL.
Ingest, transform, and load structured and semi-structured data into Snowflake.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data sources.
Optimize SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures in Snowflake and SQL Server.
2. Data Warehousing and Modeling
Design and implement data models and schemas within Snowflake to support analytics and reporting.
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to ensure models meet business needs and follow best practices.
3. Collaboration & Requirements Gathering
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
Assist analysts and architects by providing insights into best practices for data ingestion, storage, and access.
4. Platform Monitoring & Optimization
Monitor performance of ETL jobs and pipelines, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
Conduct root cause analysis of data issues and implement preventive solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering roles.
Tools & Technologies: Proficient in Snowflake, SQL Server, AWS, and ETL tools (Matillion - Mandatory).
Programming: Strong command of SQL and Python, with a focus on query optimization and performance tuning.
Data Skills: Expertise in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
Data Modeling: Practical experience in designing data warehouse schemas and models, especially on Snowflake.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.
