Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Full Time)

Location: Princeton, NJ Hybrid Need Local

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Kubernetes (K8s) application onboarding 
  • Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines for container image creation and management 
  • Implement authentication and authorization using Keycloak and AWS IAM across EKS and on-prem clusters 
  • Design and manage Kafka clusters (highly critical requirement) 
  • Develop monitoring and observability solutions for containerized environments 
  • Conduct production readiness reviews and ensure compliance with onboarding standards 
  • Automate processes such as disaster recovery, stress testing, and environment provisioning using Python 
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures 
  • Apply SRE principles including SLIs, error budgets, alerting, and incident reviews 
  • Participate in on-call rotation (ROTA) 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Linux containers and container orchestration 
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes manifests (Kustomize, Helm) 
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking (Ingress, NGINX, service mesh) 
  • Solid understanding of TLS, certificates, and security best practices 
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or ArgoCD 
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python (Go is a plus) 
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, REST/RPC services, HTTPS, and service discovery 
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and containerization concepts 
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Alertmanager) 
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka cluster management (mandatory) 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Keycloak and AWS IAM for identity and access management 
  • Programming knowledge in Java, Groovy, or Node.js/React 
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, Load Balancers, ECS 
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch (logs, metrics, alerts) 
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK (Python or Node.js)
