Position Overview

The State of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Engineer to design, develop, and manage enterprise API and integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable integrations, developing APIs, and supporting enterprise-wide integration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Develop reusable integration frameworks and API-led connectivity solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Implement and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
• Utilize MuleSoft components including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and DataWeave for integration development and management.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support activities.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and API management standards.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and best practice implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Strong experience in API design, development, and integration architecture.
• Expertise with REST, SOAP, RAML, and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
• Experience with MuleSoft components such as:
• API Manager
• Runtime Manager
• DataWeave
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Proficiency with XML, JSON, and related integration technologies.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise-level integration solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with State Government agencies.
• Experience in transportation, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
• MuleSoft certifications are highly preferred.
