Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Client: Direct State Client

Location: Hybrid Atlanta, GA (Hybrid 2-3 days) – Local candidates to the Atlanta Metro area or State of Georgia are highly preferred.

Duration: Long-term contract (Initial contract runs through the end of the fiscal year, with anticipated annual renewals every July 1st based on performance and budget).

Job Summary

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enhance IT service management and operational workflows. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise will drive efficiency and innovation in the organization's use of ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including customizations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business requirements.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.
  • Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to the team's technical growth.
  • Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and industry best practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and actively participate in design discussions.
  • Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to improve IT operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, including complex workflows and automation.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), CSM (Customer Service Management / PSDS), and HAM (Hardware Asset Management).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
