Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to support and advance the enterprise networking environment. This position will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and operating modern data center, campus, identity-driven access, and network observability solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure the our network services remain reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise modernization initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to support mission-critical systems across data centers and statewide operations.


 

Key Responsibilities

Cisco ACI & Data Center Networking

  • Design, implement, and support Cisco Nexus platforms operating in ACI mode.
  • Configure and maintain ACI components including VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, ESGs, L3Outs, contracts, and fabric policies.
  • Integrate Cisco ACI with virtualization and container platforms, including Red Hat OpenShift and Cilium/Isovalent environments.
  • Configure and optimize RoCEv2 for high-performance, low-latency workloads.
  • Troubleshoot fabric health, endpoint learning, segmentation, contracts, and multi-tenant environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Campus Networking & Software-Defined Access (SDA)

  • Deploy, manage, and support Cisco Catalyst switching platforms.
  • Design and maintain Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) environments, including wired and wireless fabric deployments.
  • Manage SDA underlay and overlay networks, authentication integrations, policy enforcement, and assurance operations.
  • Partner with wireless engineering teams to optimize network performance and user experience.

Identity-Driven Networking & Security

  • Configure and administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including TACACS+, authentication, authorization, endpoint profiling, and policy management.
  • Integrate Cisco Cyber Vision into network access control, segmentation, and asset visibility strategies.
  • Support Zero Trust initiatives through identity-based segmentation and security policy enforcement across ACI and SDA environments.

Network Visibility, Analytics & Observability

  • Deploy and manage Cisco ThousandEyes for network performance monitoring and end-to-end visibility.
  • Implement and support Cisco Cyber Vision for OT/IoT asset discovery, classification, and behavioral analytics.
  • Manage Cisco DNA Spaces for location analytics, telemetry, and wireless intelligence.
  • Develop reporting and provide actionable insights to leadership using network observability platforms.

Core Network Engineering

  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues involving VLANs, OSPF, BGP, STP, multicast, and related technologies.
  • Design, implement, and support Palo Alto Networks security solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, standards, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Participate in technology modernization efforts, platform upgrades, procurement activities, and statewide infrastructure initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ACI in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of ACI architecture, including VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, ESGs, L3Outs, and contracts.
  • Experience integrating Cisco ACI with OpenShift, virtualization platforms, and container networking technologies.
  • Strong expertise with Cisco Catalyst switching and Software-Defined Access (SDA).
  • Experience administering Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including TACACS+ and policy-based network access control.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco ThousandEyes, Cisco Cyber Vision, Cisco DNA Spaces, or similar observability platforms.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, QoS, network security, and enterprise networking best practices.
  • Experience supporting Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, highly available, mission-critical environments.
